Silly boys..
Things to do:
- Playing soccer in the hallway
- Recounting the “You’re a child of the 80’s if..” list
- Recounting the “Churck Norris” list on the first floor..
- Shooting nerf guns at passing hall-mates
- Cramming 5 guys around a 13″ tv in 1 guy’s 12′x15′ room
- Those crammed 5 guys laughing at the idiots on America’s Funniest Videos
- Alt, 5 guys all watching the same tv show in their own room, cheering/groaning in unison
- Marshall’s comments:
- “I prayed once..”
- During a story-retelling, we hear, “1″, “2″.. so we ask “What are you doing?” “Counting propositions.”
- Marshall walking out of his room with another form of food each 30 seconds.
- Eating massive amounts of cafeteria pudding, much to Dave’s delight.
- Hereby shirking responsibility on account of any of the above/following statements..
- Going out to eat every Thursday night
- Going out to eat & all 8 of us growning in sadness upon the TV channel change(passing up college football) by the restaurant owner & subsequent cheering when returning to it.
- The 50 million T-shirt design ideas
- The 60 million “cool things to do” fluke ideas (mostly revolving around various forms of high-powered projectiles)
- Sunday nite “Catan”
Yes ladies, these are the ‘eligible men’ of SBTS. Some may say “this is childish & irresponsible & dumb & blah blah..” I say, it’s men learning how to have relationships & brothers. There’s a bond over these kinds of things.. some of us never had our dads interact with us like we needed, so some/much of this isn’t just “not growing up”.. I’d say it’s part of growing up. & the things we learn here we’ll remember & take with us into our relationship with our kids. My dad never went to college. I have & I’ll have stories to share with my boys. Personally, I can’t wait.
Likewise, I hope I never forget how to laugh & have fun. I’m so prone to do that though. So ready to be the stoic intellectual. Boring.. life is more than our brains being filled.
So I hold my head high over & against the ‘nay sayers’ to silliness.

And sometimes it’s just boys being boys. We never really grow up, do we?
