The weekend pack.. still not researching for class!
Ok, at least I’m in the library this time with 2 books on my 1John paper beside me..
But I went to Quest Outdoors today & found my prize: the Deuter Ac 42.
Now, with my FIRE-ORANGE jacket, the yellow doesn’t exactly stand out or go together, and I was hopin’ for a simple grey-on-grey-on-black kinda boring pack, but this is the only color it comes in. It’s technically a tad too big for carry-on luggage, but that’s if I fill it’s 40 litres of space. I think I can manage to survive on the 35 I was originally shooting for.
It’s a handy-dandy mid-sized pack.. for $50 less than the Osprey too! And it’s got a few built-in features not in the Osprey: a zippered compartment for a sleepsack, and another for a built-in rain cover. I went with a friend and he’s the one that actually found that one! We’re headed back tomorrow for the 15% off sale! It’s super-compfy with it’s contoured back, and it’s got the mesh back like the Osprey, so I won’t die from heat in the summer(does that mean I *will* die from freezing in the winter??)
Ok. Back to research. I hope Dr. Seifrid isn’t reading these..
