Parents’ influence
So I just talked with my folks & then my sister.. seems it’d be a good idea for mom & dad to move out with her, now with 2 kids. Grandmas make great babysitters apparently.
And I talked with my sister about such events. She’s all about it. Mom’s all about it.. but there’s a missing element in dad. Dad doesn’t like change. But it seems something else is the issue: Planning. My folks don’t plan very well — this comment from my sister. *Ding*.. it all makes sense.. “Y’know, You’re right! Maybe *that’s* why I’ve had such a hard time setting goals & planning my life out!!” (luckily, I’ve figured a few things out of late, but my plans are still, and always, in flux)
So this planning-lessness, I told my sister then that I’ll book the flight for ‘em & she can find a job for dad out there. She says she already clipped a want ad & there’s a house around the corner from hers for sale! Perfect! Seems this whole “parents getting old & the children taking care of ‘em” thing is starting a bit early
